It’s Summertime

June 12, 2008 · Leave a Comment

Summer is kind of magical. Especially around sunset. The weather was so nice today… a nice reprieve from the 98 degree humid weather we’ve had the past few days. I must admit though: humidity rules. Lindsay and I went for a walk today. We swung on the swings at the park on Florence St. I’d hardly call it a park though… two swing sets, two teeter-totters, and one slide. But all of them are metal… none of that plastic shit that they are replacing all the old metal and splintery wood playgrounds with. I guess they can’t afford to upgrade playgrounds in slummy areas of Worcester… partially a shame, partially nostalgic. Anyway, there are lots today. I couldn’t choose.

The moon. Lindsay swinging. Lindsay at the park. The view from the top.

Preparing to slide. Sliding. Slide. The park on Florence St.

Oh, and these were all taken with my new lens: Sigma 18-50mm EX DC. I LOVE IT. So beautiful. So wide. I’m still getting used to it though. Horray for summer internships that pay me extremely well!
